Sandra Alcala assists the Podesta Group’s health care clients by monitoring legislation, conducting research and tracking relevant policy developments, while she supports the health care team with daily activities and long-term projects. Prior to joining the Podesta Group, Sandra worked as a fellow with the office of Rep. Ben Ray Lujan (D-NM) on the Congressional Task Force on Renewable Energy, gaining valuable experience in science and technology policy. Sandra also worked as a fellow at the National Science Foundation and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
