Mike Burns, the Podesta Group’s Compliance Manager, ensures that the firm complies with its obligations under the Lobbying Disclosure Act, the Honest Leadership & Open Government Act, the Foreign Agents Registration Act and any other applicable ethics laws and rules. His previous legal experience includes working as a student staff attorney for a nonprofit enterprise focusing on workplace flexibility at Georgetown University Law Center; working as a research assistant for Acting Solicitor General Neal Katyal while he was a professor at Georgetown University Law Center; and working as a summer associate a law firm based in Birmingham, Alabama. Mike recently earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University and was admitted to the Virginia State Bar.
