With his experience in areas as diverse as energy, education, financial services and transportation, David understands what it takes to deliver a message.
Giving effective voice to client agendas, he regularly crafts speeches, testimony and web content to have the maximum impact on target audiences. For one Podesta Group client alone, David penned 25 separate op-eds – all of which were published.
A veteran of three presidential campaigns, David was President Bill Clinton’s chief speechwriter in the White House. He has written speeches for CEOs, nonprofit leaders and senior officials at the Department of Labor, Health Care Financing Administration, Census Bureau, National Endowment for the Humanities, Immigration and Naturalization Service, Federal Emergency Management Agency and United States Information Agency.
David has authored five books and written scores of articles and reviews that have appeared in major newspapers and magazines across the country, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, The Baltimore Sun, Newsday and The New Republic. David was also a fellow at a think tank focusing on economics and wrote news articles, speeches and other material for companies, nonprofits, labor organizations and advocacy groups.
A native of Brooklyn, NY, David graduated from Yale University with a bachelor's in political science.
