Podesta Group

Challenge: A prominent US-based mining corporation looked to the Podesta Group to help them expand their exploration abroad.

Strategy:  Implement a strategic outreach plan to key US and foreign diplomatic officials in Washington, DC and foreign capitals of countries where the client currently operates, as well as where it may wish to expand. Cultivate relationships with relevant diplomats at home and abroad, so that the client can more effectively navigate local politics in foreign countries while maintaining important US government engagement and support. 

Result: Client was invited to visit high ranking local and ministerial officials abroad in areas of the world where it wishes to potentially expand. A collaborative and productive working relationship was established with key officials thousands of miles away from Washington, adding real value to the client's expansion goals.
