We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented and energetic Digital Director. The ideal candidate will have experience running a digital organizing program at the director or deputy director level, as well as a proven track record of relevant campaign, advocacy or agency experience. He or she will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the mechanics of web and social media campaigns and will know how to motivate a team of strategists to achieve the right impact in the right channels. The successful candidate will have a knack for creating attention-grabbing social media and web content — and no reservations about moving from high-level strategy discussions to navigating the finer details and tasks of a campaign. Candidates should be comfortable interacting in real time with online audiences, influencers and supporters for clients and projects of all sizes on various web platforms. He or she must also have a genuine interest in communicating with the audiences of our diverse clients, which include domestic and international corporate, nonprofit and sovereign entities. The ability to translate and communicate in easy to understand terms with senior, high-level executives is a must.
Candidates should also have a firm grasp of how to leverage online research and analytics to inform web strategies and communicate the success of digital programs to clients. Familiarity with Sysomos or a similar analytics platform is a plus, as is facility or fluency in a second or third language; an HTML or CSS skill set; previous business development experience at an agency; or knowledge of advertising or media buying best practices. Strong written and oral communication skills, an exacting attention to detail, the ability to multitask and work well with others under pressure, collegiality, a sense of humor, and flexible hours are each a must as well. Candidates should be proficient in MS Office applications and have a minimum eight years of professional experience. A bachelor’s degree is required.
