Copy Editor and Researcher 

Leading government relations and public affairs firm seeks a highly organized, energetic and detail-oriented individual for the position of Copy Editor and Researcher. The copy editor and researcher will serve as the firm editor, copy editing, formatting and proofreading documents ranging from press releases and collateral materials to congressional hearing coverage and web content to client memos and business development proposals. The copy editor and researcher will also work closely with the business development team, assisting with researching and writing background materials regarding potential clients. The candidate should also be a creative writer that is comfortable working on teams. He or she must be able to be responsive to many colleagues, handle competing priorities, and manage and complete multiple challenging and deadline-oriented projects on a regular basis. 

Strong written and oral communication skills, an exacting attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and flexible hours are a must. Candidates must have excellent MS Office skills and at least one to two years of professional work experience. Bachelor’s degree required.

Digital Media Associate

 
The Podesta Group is seeking a creative, detail-oriented and energetic Digital Media Associate. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the mechanics of web and social media campaigns. Candidates should have an interest in international relations and a firm grasp of the field, particularly with regard to Asia.
 
The successful candidate will have a knack for creating attention-grabbing social media and web content. Candidates should be comfortable interacting in real time with online audiences, influencers and supporters for clients and projects of all sizes on various web platforms.
 
The Digital Media Associate will be responsible for leveraging online research and analytics to inform web strategies and communicate the success of digital programs to clients. Familiarity with HTML or CSS is a plus, as is facility or fluency with a second or third language. Candidates must have a genuine interest in communicating with the audiences of our diverse clients, which include domestic and international corporate, nonprofit and sovereign entities.
 
Strong written and oral communication skills, an exacting attention to detail, the ability to multitask and work well with others under pressure, collegiality, a sense of humor, and flexible hours are a must. Candidates must be proficient with MS Office applications and have a minimum of one to two years of professional experience. Bachelor’s degree required.
