Ideally, you will have a strong understanding of Washington’s political and legislative process.

International Policy Analyst
The Podesta Group is a top-ranked, bipartisan team of advocacy and strategic communications specialists. We are seeking an experienced, professional, highly organized, energetic and detail-oriented candidate to add to our team of international experts. Duties include, but are not limited to, conducting research on international and foreign policy issues; performing legislative research; briefing internal teams and clients on international issues; writing analyses for business development proposals; monitoring US and international news; coordinating client schedules; organizing client fly-ins; and drafting written memos on congressional hearings and think tank policy events.
Broad familiarity with international relations and geopolitical events is required. Two to three years of experience on Capitol Hill or with a prominent think tank are also required. Strong written and oral communication skills, an exacting attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, excellent MS Office skills and flexible hours are a must as well. A bachelor’s degree is required and ideally, the candidate will have political science/international/foreign policy-related degrees and experience in this field. The candidate will be asked to take a writing assessment and must be an excellent writer.

The Podesta Group, a bipartisan government relations and public relations firm is seeking a full-time fellow to work with the healthcare public affairs sector to begin in late May. The duties include covering congressional hearings, writing client memos, conducting background research, assisting with legislative tracking and handling some administrative tasks.
An ideal candidate will have interest and relevant experience working on healthcare policy issues. Familiarity with Capitol Hill is also strongly recommended.
Availability to work 40 hours per week is preferred. Recent graduates and candidates in graduate school are encouraged to apply. Excellent writing skills are absolutely required.

If you are a current college student or recent graduate interested in government relations, public affairs, or digital advocacy, we want to hear from you. We offer paid intern and fellowships! Our team includes between seven and ten interns/fellows during each term: Fall/Spring/Summer.
Fellows who are solid contributors over the course of a term are typically invited to stay on for a second term. Several of our fellows have gone on to join the firm as permanent employees.
