Peggy Binzel provides strategic government relations counsel to the Podesta Group’s clients, utilizing her experience and connections garnered from years of representing the interests of broadcasting and telecommunications groups and organizations. In addition, she works with the firm’s management to coordinate business development. A veteran legislative and regulatory strategist, Peggy previously served as Executive Vice President for the National Cable & Telecommunications Association. She also worked as Senior Vice President, Government Affairs at The News Corporation and Director of Government Relations at Turner Broadcasting. Peggy most recently served as CEO of CoreNet Global and Senior Vice President for a DC-based communications and public affairs firm.
Additionally, Peggy has been a member of the Boards of the National Association of Broadcasters and the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing. She began her career in Washington on Capitol Hill, garnering almost ten years of experience as legislative director for former Representative Jack Fields (R-TX).
