Hewitt Strange advises Podesta Group clients on energy, environment and sustainability issues. He joined the Podesta Group after serving as the director of congressional affairs at the National Mining Association, where he was the lead lobbyist on tax, mine safety, and clean water issues. Hewitt previously served as an aide to Sens. John Breaux (D-LA) and Mary Landrieu (D-LA), as well as on several campaigns in Louisiana and nationally, including for Sen. Landrieu, Rep. John Murtha (D-PA), and Kerry-Edwards 2004, among others.
