Ed Rothschild, a seasoned veteran in strategic communications, grassroots organizing, and coalition building, is one of the Podesta Group’s senior public affairs strategists. In addition to providing political messaging guidance and national media contacts to clients, he conducts media training sessions.
Ed is a nationally recognized expert on energy issues. At the Podesta Group, he focuses on projects related to energy and the environment, financial services, civil rights, and consumer affairs. He also directs projects for a number of the firm’s nonprofit clients. He has previous experience as the Executive Director of the American Public Gas Association, as the Executive Director of Energy Action, and as a Capitol Hill staffer. He also served as Energy Policy Director and Public Affairs Director of Citizen Action, a 3 million member national consumer group. With his extensive media, congressional, and public interest group contacts, Ed is the Podesta Group’s point person for many of the firm’s public interest clients.
